For those of you who have stumbled across this small article of tips I've written about How To Get Better At Modern Warfare 2, you may be asking "Why would he write this?" "Does this really work?" to answer both those question, I wrote this because I feel that a lot of people ask me how I constantly do good (Not saying I'm the best, but I've got a 2.04 Kill/Death Ratio on Xbox Live, 9th prestige) and they ask me for tips or watch me play. And yes, this does work. This is how I play day to day all the time.

To kick it off, it depends upon how you want to play and what level you are. Do you have solid aim? Do you like up close battles and knife a lot too? Do you enjoy sniping?

For those of you who have solid aim and just play both long and short range battles, you can start off with the Scar-H. the Scar-H works wonders and you unlock the Scar-H at the start when you first get Create-A-Class. I recommend it highly, I actively use it, and with Stopping Power,  it's a kill in 2-3 bullets. (2 bullets if they're within like 5-10 feet of you) It also has pretty good Iron Sights to start off with so it's not hard to aim and get kills while you work your way up for attachments. For this class it depends upon what you like. I'd recommend Scavenger or Marathon with this for your first perk, and Stopping Power as your second for extra fire power, and Commando or Ninja since you'll actively be running around and Commando will save you in those knife battles. Where-as Ninja will save you from being heard. Later on as you level up I recommend you use the Tar-21 for the rest of the time because it's a 2 bullet kill everywhere with stopping power. Also, with Stopping Power Pro, it takes half a Tar clip to blow up a brand new UAV plane. It's an extremely powerful gun.

But since I'm a person who likes up and close battles and runs around, I personally most of the time use UMP45 with a Silencer (To keep off the radar when I shoot so people don't rush to my position) and my secondary as M93 Raffica (Because it's basically a miniature M16A4. It's a burst fire secondary and I do get a lot of long shots across the map with it) with silencer. And for my perks I use Marathon (So I can run forever), Lightweight (To run faster, while I'm running forever to cover more distance) and Ninja Pro (So people can't hear me while I'm running and I don't show up on heart beat sensors). Now, you may ask why I run such a common class setup, and that's because it works for me. I can out run most of the people in Modern Warfare 2, so it's not hard for me to catch up and shoot them if they run, and Ninja saves me from being heard. I find the UMP45 extremely easy to use and I love the Iron Sight on it which saves me from using red dot or holographic sight on it and allows me to use a silencer to keep me off the radar. The UMP45 in my opinion is one of the greatest guns and probably the greatest Sub Machine gun in this game because of how it is, so you won't have to worry about changing guns later.

For those of you who really just want to kill, I recommend the ACR. The ACR is a slightly weak gun that takes roughly 2 extra bullets to kill, but it has NO recoil when firing so you don't have to worry about the gun bouncing and messing up your vision while you fire at him. Combine that with Stopping Power again and it'll be easy pickings for you. The Famas and the M16A4 are also really good because they burst fire for you so you don't have to worry about recoil once again. With Stopping Power it takes one burst from either guns to kill someone. Any Blue or Green perk works, but for blue I recommend Scavenger.

For those who snipe, there's 2 different kinds of snipers. Ones who have iron aim, and the others who need a little help to kill someone. If you have good aim, I recommend the Barrett .50 Cal because it's a 1 hit kill most of the time with Stopping Power, I hardly get hit markers. The recoil is a bit of a pain though, but if you have confidence in your shots, use the Barrett. For those who need a little help, I recommend the M21 when you unlock it, because it's the ACR of snipers. When you fire it has the same amount of recoil as the ACR does, except it's a sniper. It also does the same amount of damage the .50 cal and Intervention do.

On to techniques!

Whether or not you charge, or play back and support, the Drop Shot WILL help. What you do is when you shoot, hold down crouch. So as you fire, you'll crouch and go prone and your enemy will miss as he fires because he's trying to hit your head, stomach, which is much higher than you are. It takes awhile to get used to, but almost no one expects it and you'll win 90% of your battles.

Also, when sniping, use slight of hand pro. A lot of people look down on it but it helps no matter how bad people say it is. With slight of hand pro, you zoom in to your scope twice as fast, thus letting you snipe someone with the scope easier.

Another huge huge HUGE thing I MUST MUST MUST POINT OUT before I'm done is that SET YOUR KILL STREAKS TO WHAT YOU THINK YOU CAN GET. DO NOT RUN NUKE WHEN YOU CAN'T GET 10 KILLS. It will NOT work. I personally run Predator Missile, Harriers, and Chopper Gunner because 5 kills is easy to get for me. When I want nuke, I run Harriers, Chopper Gunner, and Nuke because it's really easy with chopper gunner to get a nuke since chopper gunner gets people easily. Start off small and as you play more and get better, slowly move up your kill streaks and you'll see improvement.

After reading How To Get Better At Modern Warfare 2, I hope you put this to good use like I do, and improve your game play as it WILL work. I wish you all good luck as you play
